As one of the premium series within the Datalogic ADC portfolio, the Gryphon™ 4000 series is equipped with innovative image processing technology. The Gryphon™ GFS4400 Fixed Mount, 2D Barcode Reader has been designed as a complete and self-contained solution for OEM applications. This barcode reader can be easily integrated into self-service kiosks, price check systems, document management solutions, medical laboratory systems or other automatic systems. The Gryphon GFS4400 2D Module is a 'plug-and-play' solution for system designers and can be easily implemented into existing systems. In order to guarantee reliable scanning performance, the module is housed in a housing sealed with precious resin. It thus meets industrial standards, is waterproof and protected against the ingress of fine dust. It also withstands repeated cleaning cycles with solvents and disinfectants. The GFS4400 2D OEM module offers excellent reading properties at close range, a wide-angle reading field, high motion tolerance and fast code detection even with damaged or poor-quality codes. Like all models of the Gryphon series, the GFS4400 readers also have the patented "Green Spot" technology, which visually indicates the successful code capture to the user. The lighting system ensures a high degree of user-friendliness: to protect the eyes, the GFS4400 OEM module is equipped with a constant red light - the usual flickering light system is dispensed with. Incorrect readings are avoided using the four-point aiming device, which precisely defines the reading zone. The central reading cross also ensures clear alignment when several barcodes appear in the reading field at the same time. With the GFS4400 OEM module, all known 1D and 2D codes can be captured as well as postal, stacked and composite codes such as the PDF417. The imager also ensures excellent results when capturing codes on mobile phones, making it ideal for mobile marketing or ticketing applications. Since the GFS4400 OEM module can also be used to capture signatures and documents, no separate equipment is required for this. The user can access different trigger modes, whereby the module is also able to recognize objects automatically and then release the trigger itself. Data is automatically recorded via a continuous scan mode whenever a barcode appears in the reading field. In addition, the reader can also be triggered remotely via software commands or hardware inputs from programmable controllers (PLC) or sensors.
