Use of the product

TL-FC111B-20 is a 100M media converter that provides access to the RJ-45 100M port and 100M fiber port with SC connector, converting electrical signals to optical signals and vice versa. The device can therefore be used for commercial use, eg to ensure long-distance data transmission for the purposes of park security monitoring or in wireless networks.

Operation of the device

Thanks to the use of WDM technology, TL-FC111B-20 both sends and receives data on one optical fiber. This saves half the cost of the usual wiring. The device sends signals with a wavelength of 1310 nm, and receives signals at a wavelength of 1550 nm. Therefore, the wavelength for the device to which the converter is connected should be respectively 1550 nm for sending signals and 1310 nm for receiving.
