The CRS328-24P-4S + RM is 28 independent switches, it has 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports that offer various power options: passive PoE, low voltage PoE, 802.3af / at (Type 1 PoE / Type 2 PoE +) with auto sensing. PoE-Out is provided by Mode B pins (4.5 +) (7.8-). Four SFP + ports provide connectivity options of up to 10 Gbps via optical fiber or Ethernet modules (not included).
The CRS328-24P-4S + RM is delivered in a 1U rack with a built-in 100-240V AC 500W power supply. The device consumes up to 44W, leaving a guaranteed 450W (3x150W for every 8 Ethernet ports) to power PoE devices. Each port can provide up to 30W of power with any power output option selected.
The device has the Dual boot function, which allows you to choose between two operating systems - RouterOS or SwOS. If you'd rather have a simplified operating system with switch-only features, use SwOS. If you want to be able to use routing and other Layer 3 features in your CRS, use RouterOS. You can select the desired operating system from RouterOS, from SwOS, or from the RouterBOOT bootloader settings.
